am i eligible for HAMP?
i meet all eligibility critera i see on http://www.makinghomeaffordable.gov/programs/lower-payments/Pages/hamp.aspx but "financial harship" is vague. we have had a hardship as i see it but will HAMP?: our adult son sufferd serious injury last year and has been unable to work and his accounts have been drained so we must cover medical. it has put strain on us and making house payments has been next to impossible. son is recovering but our bills are still a mile high. by torewelks786849 from Auburn, California. It's unlikely that your adult son's medical bills would qualify as "Your Debt" according to HAMP guidelines. however you will have to apply with your current lender only for a HAMP modification.. and sadly, you wont know if you will be approved for 6 months to a year.. Very, Very few folks who apply for HAMP modification loans are successful, and those that are see very little relief..
