Jason is a mortgage loan officer and the principal of J.Berman Group, a boutique mortgage practice serving Colorado & New Mexico customers since 1993. In addition to mortgage origination, the company offers expertise helping other small businesses optimize their technology platforms and building a stronger online presence.

Jason Berman is also the event organizer for REBlogWorld, a Blogging & Social Networking Conference for Real Estate Professionals held in Las Vegas, Nevada. Annually, REBlogWorld is one of the largest gatherings of real estate & mortgage bloggers in the country.

In 2009, the company released MortgageZen for the iPhone, the first blended rate calculator for mortgage professionals and can be found in the iTunes app store. The application has 750+ downloads to date.

Jason began originating home mortgage loans in 1993. He founded Sierra Funding in 1995 and the company grew into one of the premier mortgage planning practices in Colorado.

In 2004, he was elected to the Board of Directors for the Colorado Association of Mortgage Brokers (CAMB) and served as the President of the association in 2006 where he led the effort to pass minimum standards for mortgage originators working in the State of Colorado. The regulation passed in 2006 and required all mortgage brokers doing business in the state of Colorado to obtain federal background checks and become registered.

Jason has participated on the BBB Mortgage Trade Practices Group, Colorado Housing Council, & testified before House & Senate sub-committees on the impact of pending legislation for the mortgage industry.

He has also served on several NAMB committees and was appointed to the Governor's inaugural Mortgage Broker Education Taskforce which assisted the Colorado Division of Real Estate with the implementation requirements for 40 hours of mortgage broker pre-licensing education.
