Mortgage rates continued to drop slightly today, keeping the 2-month low titles intact. 7-year highs, back down to 2-month lows - mortgage rates are decreasing furiously! Although todays numbers did not improve for the average lender, rates did manage to hold steady between the gap in mortgage rates between 10/2 and 10/3, bringing them back down to the 2-month low. It has been more than a week since mortgage rates have moved in a significant way. Rates have been mostly sideways, since right before the Thanksgiving Holiday. Mortgage rates saw improvement, but not considered to be too huge. Ahead of the 1st, (of one of many) 3-day weekends this Holiday Season, we may not see much movement in the bond market.
