For the 5th strait week mortgage rates have surged. Freddie Mac reports that the average thirty year fix mortgage has risen from 4.61 to 4.83 within the last week. Just last month we were seeing averages at record lows, around 4.15.
After falling for seven consecutive months we are now finally seeing loan rates rise across all loan types. For more detailed information click here.
