Well..it is opposite day again. We have not seen one of these for a while and I must admit..I've not missed them.

Bad retail sales combined with good wholesale inflation and somehow the stock market is up 100 points. Bonds were off even in the premarket trading based on reports of a strong chinese industrial production number. Perhaps, this filtered the perception of traders and they are momentarily blind by what is happening at home. Let's hope for that.

If we do not hold the 100.35 level, this correction could gain steam and test 100.00.

What should happen (fundamentally speaking), is that the gap should close and the market move sideways until the next sign.
