I have recently submitted to one of those lead aggregator web sites. For you consumers who are not aware, you unknowingly go to the internet and submit your information thinking that someone on the other end will be calling you to take care of your mortgage needs. It should be as easy as buying something on the internet is probably your thought as you hit the send key.
What happens next? Ultimately you may regret your decision. There is a litany of phone calls. Brokers, bankers, slick talking sales people who know nothing about a mortgage are bombarding your phone numbers for the next 10 minutes. Now, most likely you'll need the services of one of these fine people but your initial impression of all those calls and the "pack of wolves" that contacted you is clearly very frustrating.
One person I recently contacted, you could tell he had taken his fair share of calls when I contacted him. He only wanted to use the calculator feature and had no idea that the information he gave to get to the point of being able to use the mortgage calculator was going to turn him into a "lead." This lead is the sold several times over by the sites that created this aggregator service and the phone begins ringing off the hook. While you are on the phone with one person explaining that you were just trying to figure this mortgage part out you call waiting kicks in, then the other phone number you gave starts ringing. It was all innocent enough and unfortunately this "Internet Insanity" got you no further than when you first logged onto that site and most likely you are more discouraged now than ever before.
Contact me directly via the web at www.ILmortgageprofessional.com or on my cell phone at 630 660 8444. We'll save you some time, energy, effort and aggravation.
Thank you,
Richard Glover
