The CDC (Center for Disease Control and Prevention) recently conducted a survey to determine which state populations were happiest with life. The happiest state was Louisiana, followed by Hawaii, Florida, Tennessee and Arizona.

The unhappiest state was New York. Can nothing make these people smile?

Ever-prudent Minnesota landed smack dab in the middle at number 26. I would have expected us to score higher, since we are usually a pretty chipper bunch. Maybe next year
