Will I be able to get a loan if I am in arrears on Child Support?

More info needed, but in general, if you are current now, and have an agreement in place for the amounts in arrears, then possibly.. however if you have not made any payments then it's unlikely.. Lenders need to calculate your debt to income ratio (DTI).. Since child support is a debt, they need to qualify you as if you are making payments.. and for an approval, it's no different if you were in arrears on a car payment or credit card payment,, All unpaid debt is bad... unfortunately, without looking at your complete profile it's impossible to advise you, but in general, if you have a payment plan, and you have made 3 to 6 months "On time" payments, then it's possible you can get financing.. assuming you meet all other eligibility requirements..
