Yes.. it's not unusual.. your lender was more than likely a broker and the funding lender is doing a quality control review where they take certain files and spot check to be sure everything is copacetic.. I'm a Broker here in Scottsdale AZ and I only lend in Arizona. If you or someone you know is looking for financing options, feel free to contact me or pass along my information. William J. Not uncommon to verify information at application time is in deed what you are doing or a QC audit.
No.. it should not have any affect.. but if you or your lender knew about the transfer prior to the loan funding, it could be a problem.. typically, the only way a lender will call a note due is for 2 reason.. one, you stop paying.. and two, if they can prove loan fraud.. if you knew about a job transfer, but didn't inform your lender, and the lender can prove it, they could call your note due.. but HIGHLY UNLIKELY.. Very normal for the reasons already mentioned - don't worry about it as long as the change of employment was NOT already confirmed. Very unlikely there will be an issue but be prompt and as up-front as you can when responding to any questions sent to you. Good luck dealing with it - my guess is it will blow over pretty quickly as long as you are paying your mortgage.
