Since it's 6 units, it's considered commercial financing. and for most commercial lenders, they don't specifically like lending on owner occupied commercial residential properties.. the foreclosure laws are typically more favorable to the owner occupant, which makes recapturing the property in the event of a default more difficult and the process is usually longer.. that all being said, there are lenders out there who might consider doing it.. the best source for commercial financing is Scotsmanguide.com.. there you can type in your loan parameters and get a list of lenders willing to do your scenario.
