Thanks for your question. You're done with the purchase of the property but as far as the mortgage loan goes - make sure you look out for first statement, sometimes the information takes a while to be updated with the loan servicer and eventhough rarely, at times the first statement (bill) is delayed. This doesn't mean your mortgage is not due as stated on the Note so don't be late. A tip -- look through the copy of the closing documents you received at closing - pull out the 1st payment letter and in the event you do not get your first bill send your first payment as indicated on the 1st payment letter. Even if they change servicers don't worry typically they allow a "grace period" to get the funds to the right servicer. Please feel free to contact me with any additional questions. Yes, you're done - you own the home, or have a new mortgage on it. In very rare situations the lender may come back to get some (usually minor) piece of documentation that was missed during the process. Congratulations - you made it!
