What is the minimum FICO score for VA?

VA does not have a minimum credit scores.. but understand that VA does not lend money.. they only insure loan's against default.. the lenders are the one's who set minimum credit score requirements.. and for most, it's going to be 600+.. there might be a few that go down to 580, but understand that the lower the score, the more strict the guidelines, and few that apply actually get approved. This all being said, VA also has guidelines regarding minimum waiting periods after a major derogatory event like a BK... You have to wait 2 years from the discharge date before applying for a VA loan. I'm a preferred Lender with California and Arizona being my primary markets.
