There is no income restrictions for the HARP only the HAMP program. HARP guidelines states that your current mortgage must be guaranteed by Fannie Mae or Freddie Mac. The note needs to be dated before May 31, 2009. More guidelines include current on the mortgage payments, no 30 days late payments for six months, and no 6o days late payment s for twelve months. The program will end December 31, 2016. If you need more information, I can be reached at 816-739-6279 or by email at sdeere@mimutual.com.

The program does not have any income restrictions, and in more case than not, may be a very simple transaction that may not even require an appraisal, even if you are more money than the home is worth. The current mortgage has to have been purchased by either Fannie Mae or Freddie Mac before May 31, 2009. This is a key point as even if your loan was dated before this date, ownership of the loan by either of these government agencies is the key. There's an entire 100 page manual outlining HARP guidelines, so we're not going to discuss all of them... but in general, most folks want to know what is different about HARP refi vs. a conventional refinance.. With HARP, in most cases, there is no appraisal necessary, and they don't necessarily look at your debt to income ratios either.. you have to be working, but they are not going to pay attention to your ratios.. the assumption is that if you have made your payments on time, then regardless of your ratios, you are able to fulfill your obligations.. I'm a Broker here in Scottsdale AZ and I only lend in Arizona. If you or someone you know is looking for financing options, feel free to contact me or pass along my information. William J. As with all loans, there are the basic rules, and a lot of small print. The big print on HARP is that there is no income qualifications. For HARP loans in MN, WI, and SD, visit http://harp-refinance-mn.com
