what is the average number of days to close a mortgage loan in the state of florida? we need to move by end of august.

Is that realistic? Otherwise, we still have to pay rent on september? how do u calculate pro-rate on rent? we have found the house and getting our docs in order by sandra_littman106 from Charlotte, North Carolina. Aug 12th 2014 Reply

That's very fast, but technically possible. I personally would not promise it but would be willing to try IF you can send me everything by TOMORROW. The norm is usually closer to 30 days with a bit faster very often possible. Remember that if you close in August your first payment will not be due until October 1 (and late if not received by the 15th) and not due until November 1 if you close in September. PS - there are so many different things that can delay the final approval and closing, regardless of who handles the loan for you I recommend not making definite plans to be closed and move before September 1. The last day for an August closing is 2 weeks from this Friday.

From the time you have an accepted contract to the day you close and get handed the keys, it should be 30 days or less. But understand that in today's lending environment, anything can happen which can cause delay's.. appraisal, property deficiencies, credit issues, well or septic issues, etc, etc, etc.. the list can go on and on, but for a clean deal, less than 30 days is very realistic. ..
