what happens when the house you are renting is foreclosed?

The lender owns it instead of your previous landlord. If you have a lease you should be in good shape, if not just pay attention to any mail or phone calls - just make sure it truly is the new owner. You may be allowed to stay for a while, partly depending on the lender and state laws. Good Luck!

Good question, new owner may or may not honor the lease and if not try to negotiate 60 days to find suitable housing
