It depends on many factors.. What's your credit score? Where the late payments a rolling 30 day late payment, or did you not make the payment for 3 months.. How long ago were the late payments... income? Job time? just too much info missing to answer your question... most lenders will require no late mortgage payments in the last 12 months.. However some lenders have overlays that say if you were 90 or 120 days behind on a mortgage, then they treat it as if you had a foreclosure and you would have to wait 3 years from the last late date to apply..
