If you are purchasing a home and disclosing it as an "Owner Occupied" but your intent is to rent it out.. then yes.. he is correct.. you would be committing loan fraud. Even if your intent is to rent it out one day a year, you would be subject breaching your loan agreement.. If your intent is to rent the property out, then you would purchase the home as an "investment property" type, and you can rent it out as often as you wish..
