We got a USDA loan 2 months ago

Our income it was up of the limit so my wife quit her job, and sign a letter saying that she doesn't have intentions to get a job after the closing date. My question is... how long must my wife before she can look for work. Thanks by falcula22437 from , California. Aug 18th 2014 Reply

That is a tough question. If she starts looking for a job too soon it potentially could be called mortgage "fraud" - which you don't want to mess with, and most mortgage lenders would not want to provide advice on. If your household circumstances change that would be a reason for finding a new job.

PS> your loanj/file could be audited after closing. That could include a copy of your tax return for 2014 after you file it.

Yikes... That isn't a situation that I would have suggested. This clearly borders on mortgage fraud to obtain a program for which you really didn't qualify.
