You should have no problems at all.. But yes.. a Home Equity Line of Credit (HELOC) is a mortgage.. any loan that is secured by your home is considered a mortgage. There are several options available to you.. a HELOC is one, a regular "cash out refinance" is another option, and if you are 62 or older, you can do a reverse mortgage. I suggest you contact a local mortgage professional, and sit with them, let them look at your complete loan scenario, and let them put together several options for your consideration. I'm a preferred Lender with California and Arizona being my primary markets. If you or someone you know is looking for financing options, feel free to contact me or pass along my information. 480-287-5714 WilliamAcres.com NMLS# 226347 / LendUS, NMLS 1938/ AZMB0121893
