Want A Mortgage, Need Expert Advice

Currently my wife and I are shopping for a new home, we have found one we both like and need a mortgage. I bring in all of the money in the household, and the wife is a stay at home mom. The issue is that I have bad credit, and hers is near perfect. is there anyway that we can have her apply individually and use my income? by marty3992 from Topeka, Kansas. Jun 14th 2010 Reply

Marty, there is no way to have your wife apply and use your income. However there are numerous things you can do to quickly improve your score in order to fully qualify for a hone purchase. Ken KopperTenacity Mortgage(800)496-0235 x1262kennethkopper@tenacitygroup.com

The credit score of your wife will not negate your bad credit score, whatever it is, that will be what the loan is based on. You need a 580 to get an FHA loan (still available, but at higher rates), 620 will get you better rates, 740 will get you the best rates.
