VA approved lenders

I am looking for a few VA approved lenders that also have a (Lapp) lenders appraisal processing program. I live in Indiana and are looking to get quotes from some VA lenders accredited with the Better Business Bureau with high standards good feed back. Thanks by Icehou_129_819 from Valparaiso, Indiana. Not sure if A&M Mortgage Group or our parent corporation are BBB dues paid subscribers or not. It's funny though because many years ago I worked for the local BBB -- so I understand exactly what they do and don't do. However, there are many ways to gauge a lender's reputation IMHO much better than the BBB. What's equally important is the loan officer you chose. Find one with a ton of VA experience as well as a local in office underwriter. The VA program is unique -- much different from other loan programs. Google the lender and the loan officer. Once you discuss your situation with the loan officer, you should get a good feel for their experience, ability, trustworthiness...Quick story -- Friday and Saturday, I was putting together a VA loan for a marine who had just been rejected 2 months after his "reputable" VA lender had preapproved him for more than he bought. It's going to take a little extra work, but I'm confident we'll get it done shortly. This kind of thing happens all the time. I'm fortunate to know the VA program very well + walk the file in to my favorite underwriter...just sayin.

Also make sure that you feel comfortable with your loan officer and feel that that person has a good knowledge of the va program and guidelines.

Most actual lenders who offer VA loans and also LAPP certified today. Interesting to hear a home buyer talk about an internal lender term. A high BBB rating, is something to consider, but I suggest the most important aspect is to get off the Internet, and go sit down with a LOCAL non-bank lender. The success of your transaction is 25% the company you choose, and 75% the loan officer you choose. Stay away from banks, and you are already off to a great start.
