usda loan jurisdictional requirements

I live in belle chasse. I went onto usda.gov and first of all ther is a disclaimer saying they are not responsible for complete accuracy. This bothered me slightly as I seem to cut it close to the "eligibile" versus "ineligible" border on the map, south of new orleans. If I decide to buy up some land in belle chasse I want to make sure it is usda qualifying. by cassandrarmilleux... from Belle Chasse, Louisiana. Jan 3rd 2014 Reply

Keep in mind that the eligible areas can change periodically.

I always suggest people wanting a USDA loan not go through a local USDA office. It is not that they are bad people or anything, it is just that is the only loan they can offer. If you don't qualify for USDA, they can't offer you anything else, and you've wasted a lot of time. Now the good this is there is no worry about cutting it close. You simply need to put in the exact address of the property you want to buy, and the system will say yes or no. In MN or WI, visit www.MortgagesUnlimited.biz/USDA
