No degree is necessary, but it takes years and years of training and working your way up the ranks.. Mortgage companies don't just hire people to become underwriters.. They either hire experienced underwriters or they hire office personnel and move the from one phase to the next until they have a complete understanding of the entire process.. Setup, processing, underwriting, final review, quality control.. are all steps in working a mortgage loan application for approval and doc preparation... so not an easy process, and with the government constantly changing the rules, it's an even more difficult process than ever... I'm a Broker here in Scottsdale AZ and I only lend in Arizona. If you or someone you know is looking for financing options, feel free to contact me or pass along my information. 480-287-5714 WilliamAcres.com

many years in the mortgage industry, , you have to work under a underwriter for a long time, before you can go out on your own, have have to be sponsered by a mortgage insurance company, or a lender, and then you have to be certified...
