spouse deceased - still on mortgage

Hello lender 411. I want to know if I'm required to remove my husband from our RM loan? He passed in November 2018. I'm doing my taxes and thought I should ask how or if this can effect my credit or tax liability. by bowmanbs534 from Stuart, Florida. Feb 26th 2019 Reply

It shouldn't change anything.. You can call your servicer and have him removed, or just let it be.. either way, nothing will change in regards to your loan. I'm a preferred Lender with California and Arizona being my primary markets. If you or someone you know is looking for financing options, feel free to contact me or pass along my information. 480-287-5714 WilliamAcres.com NMLS# 226347 / LendUS, NMLS 1938/ AZMB0121893

Should have no effect, but contact the lender, tell them he has passed. They will require a Death Certificate, but then should remove his name.
