Should I shop outside of my credit union for a refinance?

My current loan is through my credit union. I am really considering a refinance. It's my impression that credit unions are supposed to be the ones giving out the best deals. Is this true? Anyhow, I want to lower my interest and reduce my payment. Where should I begin? by haley313_133_842 from Raleigh, North Carolina. Aug 16th 2011 Reply

Credit unions are not always your best bet. We frequently offer better deals for certain borrowers.www.envoytriad.com

Hey! I'm in Raleigh and know some of the local credit unions. It really depends on your goal whether or not the credit union is your best bet. If you'll contact me, I'll guide you in answering that question. I can be reached via any of the following methods: (919) 500-5270 x102, chad@mortgagewithchad.net, www.mortgagewithchad.net. Our experience is that the SECU doesn't offer fixed rate mortgages. If we can help - we'll be glad to!
