Should I refinance my FHA loan again?

I refinanced my FHA loan to 3.75% 2 years ago and I am considering refinancing again to get 3.5% with less PMI. I would save about $100/m. is it a good idea? by carriesnow22909 from Dawson, Pennsylvania. May 11th 2015 Reply

If the numbers make sense and you're staying there awhile, then go for it! Show around a little for the best deal though.

Yes, no, and maybe... Lowering a payment is only part of the picture... What are the costs, and how long do you plan on living in the home... Constantly refinancing, and resetting your mortgage back to a new 30-year loan can actually end up costing many people significantly more over the long run. Consult with a local mortgage broker... Crunch the numbers, and if it makes sense... go for it. I lend in MN, WI, and SD. Visit www.JoeMetzler.com

FHA has a rule that unless your payment is going down at least 5%, they wont allow the refi.. everyone situation is different, but if someone were to hand me a $100 bill every month for the next 30 years, I would be stoked!! I'm a Broker here in Scottsdale AZ and I only lend in Arizona. If you or someone you know is looking for financing options, feel free to contact me or pass along my information. William J. Could be, let a reputable look at the numbers closely. $100/mo is significant but it also depends what you are paying (adding to the mortgage) to get a 3.5% rate.
