You should remove yourself.. By you being on there could cause the automated underwriting system to deny the loan.. Under the current HARP rules, you are allowed to remove a borrower.. Your credit score would increase the interest rate offered. It would be best to execute this in just your husband's name. Some lenders will only remove borrowers on HARP loans if there has been a death or divorce. It varies. I do not have that restriction.
