Seattle WA FHA Lenders for Credit Scores Between 600-620 Options

I know that FHA will allow credit scores within the 600-620 range but I am not aware of any lenders in the Seattle area that do. If you can close a loan within the aforementioned parameters or know someone who can, please comment. by tomtom_202_564 from Seattle, Washington. Feb 10th 2012 Reply

Hey Tom... there are lenders who lend to credit scores below the 620 range, however, the lower the score, the more strict the guidelines are... in other words, it's not just the credit score that keeps you from purchasing / refinancing a home.. it's the entire profile... best bet is to contact a local mortgage broker, not a bank... and apply with them... brokers have access to a vast number of lenders and can find the right one for your particular scenario... There are multiple investors/lenders that have programs that allow scores in the range you are in. The biggest issue will probably be why your score is here. Contact a local Mortgage Banker/Broker, rather than one of the big banks. Unlike a bank employee, who is most likely just an order taker, a Mortgage Broker/Banker is Trained, Tested and Licensed in all aspects of Mortgage Origination. He/She will have access to loan products of many lenders, not just those of one bank, and can properly guide you. But more importantly, He/She is trained to take a look at the various different options available to you and guide you into the one that makes the best sense for your situation. Don't forget to check out your selected Mortgage Originator at the National Mortgage Licensing System at www.NMLSConsumerAccess.org ~ Bert Carpenter, The LoansA2z team of NOVA Home Loans ~ NMLS 40586 ~ www.LoansA2z.com
