Assuming you have done the right thing since your BK was discharged isn't as good as knowing you have done the right thing. My advice is to locate a local Mortgage Banker in your area and apply now. Yes, you will be told "NO!" because your BK hasn't aged yet. But you need to know now what, if anything is wrong with your credit so that you can work on getting it fixed now. Most people have things reported wrong coming out of a BK. Take care of them now and come June you will be ready to close escrow. You can find a qualified Mortgage Professional for your area at the National Association of Mortgage Professionals at www.NAMB.org. Use the "Find a Mortgage Professional: link on the right hand side. ~ Bert Carpenter, The LoansA2z team of NOVA Home Loans ~ Licensed in California and Arizona ~ NMLS 40586 ~ www.LoansA2z.com ~ 888-889-9950

Michael: It seems like you have done everything right since your BK. Establishing good credit and keeping cards to a minimum! That is the right fit for many lenders. I think you have come to the right place to find a good lender. Talk to a few people that participate frequently here. If we don't directly lend in your state, odds are that we can find a good loan officer for you to work with.
