Everyone's situation is different, so there is no "Form" letter.. basically what the underwriter is looking for is,,, why did you file, what were the circumstances involved, and what steps have you taken to be sure you don't fall into this situation again.. if you follow this format.. there really isn't a wrong answer.. .. I'm a Broker here in Scottsdale AZ and I only lend in Arizona. If you or someone you know is looking for financing options, feel free to contact me or pass along my information. William J. If there was a specific life event that led to the bankrupcty filing, I would reference that in your letter and be prepared to provide suppporting documentation in the even that an underwriter asks for it. Underwriters will want to see that you are beyond whatever issues or events that caused the Bankruptcy and that you have successfully reestablished your credit as evidenced by "clean" credit following the Bankruptcy filing. Please feel free to contact me directly if you would like to discuss your specific situation in more detail.
Just explain in your own words what happened.
