I've never seen a lender reject a file because of something along these lines. Typically, the lender will require that all "Safety and Health" deficiencies be corrected.. but they don't really put much weight behind simple code violations, unless it's overwhelmingly obvious.. Example: the Uniform Building Code requires that garage doors that lead into a living space must open into the garage (not the home) and be fire rated and self closing.. If the door does not self close, or is not a solid core door, then the appraiser will make a notation since this has to do with "Safety and Health"..
