We want to refinace our current mortgage with the HARP 2 program but we currently have PMI. I have been told that we can do the HARP program but I need to find a mortgage company willing to deal with the PMI. One loan officer I spoke with said everthing looked good and he could get everything through BUT he couldn't do anything becasue of the PMI. So I need help find a company that will do the HARP 2 and deal with our PMI. Please HELP!!
Contact a local Mortgage Banker /Broker. DON'T use one of the big banks, DON'T use one of the big national Mortgage factories, and DON'T use the people you are currently making payments to. Most of these companies only want to work the loans that can easily fit into their cookie cutter model. Loans like yours that have additional needs, they don't want to fool with. As Mortgage Bankers/Brokers, we have access to all the lending sources, allowing for an easier fit into the lender or program that makes the most sense. Whoever you choose, make sure you check them out at the National Mortgage Licensing System at www.NMLSConsumerAccess.org ~ Bert Carpenter, The LoansA2z team of NOVA Home Loans ~ NMLS 40586 ~ www.LoansA2z.com
What State is the property in? We can lend in most states. We can transfer the PMI, no problem. Give me a call. We are specializing in HARP 2.0. 888-320-7888 - www.MortgageWholesale.net - Ken
I would make sure you do your research before picking a loan officer to help you with your HARP 2.0 loan. I am shocked how many loan officers are just starting to understand the program when it was announced 4 months ago.I only lend in Florida!
Seems to be the trand around these parts. LO's are only think of refinancing the mortgage before doing their homework to see if the MI is able to be modified. Send me your contact info. I have a few questions for you and I can tell what I can do.
Jazz, hello. I am in the same boat. Just turned down yesterday by Wells Fargo, after they insisted 'they could help me".(I have almost no other debt and a credit score of 800, btw). Then they realized the PMI factor and turned me off like a lightswitch. Best of luck to you! I'm going to keep searching.
