VA IRRRL's do not require an appraisal, however your lender still might want one anyway.. (if you shop around, you will find a lender who wont require one).. If you need an appraisal, then the best thing you can do to insure the highest value is to completely clean and un clutter your entire property, inside and out, and be sure all maintenance issues are dealt with.. I would shop around for a lender that does not require an appraisal for an IRRRL. I only lend in Florida.
