I make 54k per year and I have a 679 credit score and I'm about to apply for a home loan. The house is 240k can I do it?

Probably but it will depend on what other monthly debt you have, how much you have for a downpayment, whether there will be a HOA or regime fee for the property you are buying, how much the taxes and insurance will be, etc. Before you shop for a mortgage you should select a mortgage lender you want to work with and be pre-approved based on those factors and the maximum YOU are comfortable with paying each month for the mortgage, taxes, insurance, etc. My guess is that your payment will be at least $1500/mo and probably more like $1600 or higher, plus any regime or HOA payment.
