Middle credit score of 624 (and what is in my credit report) a barrier for a HARP loan if all other requirements are met?

I passed the eligibility test for a HARP loan..I never missed a mortgage payment in the whole 6 years I had the mortgage, mortgage is backed up by Fannie Mae, etc.... and I have a descent income (I have verifiable income and employment) I also have a good amount of money put in my 401K and I never touched it, but just I checked my credit scores and my middle is 624 with Experian. I have a 779 with Equifax and a 615 with TransUnion. I often hear that a required credit score for a HARP loan is 640. But I have a perfect mortgage history. I cannot dispute the negatives (which include charged off credit cards) on my credit report, though they are about 3 to 4 years old, but they are accurate so they may come back verified. Some here will say "send me your info, we can do it".. but I have done a TON of these HARP loans, and if your mid score is 624, you will not get approved... period.... you're better off paying someone to help you restore your credit rather than let a multitude of loan officers run your credit, driving your scores even lower.. the HARP program is here for another year, so there's plenty of time to get your credit turned around and get your scores up.. I agree with William here: Until your score is improved, you will not be able to get approved. Everyone is going to either tell you that you need to apply, or they will try to sell you off to a FOR FEE credit restoration company. Although I can't help you with the loan, because I am not licensed in PA, I might be able to help you with a roadmap to getting your credit cleaned up so you can get the loan. Actually, contrary to what a few of the others have said here, you can accomplish the refi with a score of 624. There are actually quite a few lenders that allow a 620+ credit score on HARP. If you're getting into the extreme LTV range of over 125%, there are fewer lenders who can do it at that range, but still some that can nonetheless. That being said though, if you start the process please be smart with your open credit accounts. If you're currently at 624 don't open up any new accounts and also think twice before paying something off completely, as that can lower the score temporarily depending on the circumstances.
