What is seller financing? Should I know what it means/is it something important?? by RGorde_987_231 from Springfield, Massachusetts. Aug 2nd 2012
Seller financing is exactly what it say.. The seller will finance you without using a bank. Be careful, because a lot of real estate investors will use these strategies to get people to pay them more than the property is worth... or they will disguise seller financing in a lease option or rent to own... Lease options and rent to own, are nothing more than a lease agreement with a "Non refundable" option fee.. Meaning, if you are late on the rent payment, you lose all your option fee and you get evicted.. a "True" seller financed deal will have a "Deed of Trust" and a "Note".. And your name will go on a "Warranty Deed"... anything else is just a modified lease agreement.. I'm a Broker here in Scottsdale AZ and I only lend in Arizona. If you or someone you know is looking for financing options, feel free to contact me or pass along my information. 480-287-5714 WilliamAcres.com
Seller financing is just what the others have said.
