Can I refinance in Chapter 13 Bankruptcy with a 670 credit score

Payments to trustee are current. Home value is around $182,500 per Zillow and I owe around $150,000. Not sure about exact balance still owed on bankruptcy, but estimating around $20,000. by indyco_917_773 from Avon, Indiana. Apr 20th 2012 Reply

Yes, as long as the CH.13 is a year old and 12 monthly payments have been made to the trustee you should be able to refinance. Please call me if you need further information. ThanksRichard Breedon 317-585-6976

the generic answer is YES that you can refinance while in a chapter 13 bankruptcy - HOWEVER - there are of course stipulations to be met and guidelines to follow! :). You must obtain permission from the trustee. You must be at least 12 months into the plan and have paid as agreed status. Please give me a call - or go to our website and complete a loan application: www.lechelmortgage.com 260 221 0030. I look forward to working with you. KIM WHITE

OK.. so everyone is right... you need permission and 12 on time payments... and this is true if you're going to refinance using FHA, VA or USDA... if you want to go conventional, you might have a problem... contact a LOCAL mortgage broker, not the local "Big" bank, and certainly not one of those 50 states internet lenders... the LOCAL broker is familiar with local customs and works with numerous lenders, seeking out the best loan terms for your particular scenario. Because he has lower overhead, he can offer you lower rates and lower fees than most of the larger lenders.. I'm a Broker here in Scottsdale AZ and I only lend in Arizona. If you or someone you know is looking for financing options, feel free to contact me or pass along my information. 480-287-5714 WilliamAcres.com

You should be able to if your Chapter 13 is a year old and you have paid as agreed. It sounds like you have done that but you need to talk to a local Lender 411 professional to make sure. Everyone's situation is unique and a local broker can help you do it now or help you set up a plan to get your ducks in a row to do it later. Good Luck.
