Contact a CA broker and they can assist you.... or go to fannie or freddie website and so it yourself, but I have seen people get wrong results doing it themselves....

All you need to do is go on Fannie or Freddie website and put in your address to check whether your loan is from them or not.

The guys who have answered already are spot on. Once you find out if Fannie or Freddie own your loan, call me (951) 215-6119 or go to www.homeloanartist.com and we'll confirm when they secured it. Because if it wasn't secured prior to June 1st, 2009, you won't be eligible for a HARP 2.0 refinance. Also, I'm located here in Southern California and already accepting applications for the HARP 2 refinance program. It's crazy how much people are reducing their rate and payment by each month.

Contacting a California broker will assist you in determining eligibility (if your mortgage loan is owned by Fannie or Freddie). We are starting to accept applications now with a hold on interest rate locks and full approval. We have conditional approvals available for eligible borrowers that meet the HARP 2.0 guidelines. You can complete an application on our website: www.trufinancialservices.com. We have been an Accredited Business with the Better Business Bureau holding an A rating for the past six years. Contact us to get started on lowering your payment!

Use the link below to verify if you're owned by Fannie Mae or Freddie Mac.FANNIE = http://www.fanniemae.com/loanlookup/FREDDIE = https://ww3.freddiemac.com/corporate/Keep in mind that your loan would have to be owned by either Fannie or Freddie prior to 6/1/2009 to utilize the HARP program.

You can certainly check yourself at the following link provided. This link is from the "Making Home Affordable govt. program" , it has Fannie and Freddie's phone number and websites to find out if your loan is owned by Fannie or Freddie. http://www.makinghomeaffordable.gov/tools/does-fannie-or-freddie-own-your-loan/Pages/default.aspx Did you purchase or take out your last mortgage loan prior to June of 2009? This date is important because it will determine if you are eligible for the program. US Bank most likely will sell to Freddie Mac but not 100% sure. Let me know if I can help. Thanks.
