Can I still switch banks due to issues with my broker?

I am currently on vacation in Canada and I purchased a house back home and the possession date is in a few weeks after I get back. This past week I signed a “mortgage commitment” with a lender through a broker. I’ve been facing issues with this broker and I want to move to another bank. Is it too late to switch to another bank? by tristan827 from Davis Creek, California. Jul 11th 2022 Reply

Sorry to hear you are having issues. Yes, you can switch lenders. Any new lender / broker will have to start from scratch, so make sure they have plenty of time to still close on the scheduled date. I provide home loans in MN, WI, IA, ND, and SD. Find me at FirstTimeHomeBuyer-MN.com - Cambria Mortgage, NMLS 274132
