If your lender is requiring Proof of on-time rent payment, the documentation must show that you were the one that made the payment, the amount of the payment, The date of the payment and who the recipient was. If your Venmo account can show that, then it should be OK. ~ Bert Carpenter, The LoansA2z Team of NEXA Mortgage ~ NMLS 40586 ~ Licensed in AZ, CA, GA, IL, OR, WA... The vast majority of lending programs DO NOT require a verification of rent. If you do need one, it must always be independent third party verification. Cancelled checks for example. Depending on what you can get from VENMO, it may may or may not be acceptable. VENMO doesn't really give statements, but you can get some printouts. This is another great example of why all these new systems, while popular, can cause problems. I suggest people use a standard regular checking accounts. Good luck. Cambria Mortgage, NMLS 274132.
