You can go on the NMLS website for consumers & plug in LO's name. Do you have the name of the company he/she works for?

Easy. Simply to to NMLSConsumerAccess.org - There you can plug in any Loan Officers name or NMLS number to see if they are currently active, where they work, and disciplinary actions, and if they actually have a personal license, when they started in the mortgage business, or if they are simply a registered Loan Officer. If at the bottom of the page, it lists any state licenses, they are a licensed Loan Officer. If it says Federal National Mortgage Originator, they do not have a personal license. As a licensed Loan Officer, I lend in MN WI IA ND SD. Visit me at iMortgageJoe.com - NMLS 274132
