I think my grandmother has been a victim of Predatory lending practices

she expressed to me that her loan amount recently increased and she was not aware this would happen. My grandfather passed in July, 2019 and we had to refi the home. I was not involved in the transaction, but 6 months later a payment increase??? this sounds fishy! Can any professionals here please direct me to an agency that can officially look into this for my grandmother? by triniecekearl730 from Clayton, Georgia. Jan 16th 2020 Reply

You should check with customer service at her lender and inquire as to why there was a change.

The odds of "predatory lending" is extremely low... The odds are it is a simple adjustment for changes in property taxes or homeowners insurance, and nothing more. Simply have grandma call the 1-800 number and ask.
