Can someone remove my name from a title without me knowing it?

Not legally. It would require your notarized signature as approval to the change in title from one party to another.

The other answers you have are correct. However, there are some strange circumstances where a property deed holder could be removed from Title. It is very rare and would usually require a court order, death or similar situation. Before I would say 100% no, more details would be needed about the circumstance. I would then consult a real estate attorney rather than a mortgage originator. I am a mortgage originator and have an attorney (not real estate) in the family, so I know there always isn't a black and white answer without the details. ;)

Not likely.. In most all cases, you would have to sign something and have it notarized in order for you to relinquish your ownership rights. Also, the property cannot be encumbered without your signature either.. meaning, the other party on the deed cannot get a loan against it without you signing something. I'm a preferred Lender with California and Arizona being my primary markets. If you or someone you know is looking for financing options, feel free to contact me or pass along my information. 480-287-5714 WilliamAcres.com NMLS# 226347 / RPM Mortgage NMLS 1541014 / AZMB0121893

I know of no legal way to remove someone from title without their knowledge and signature.
