Scores in the 630 to 650 range should qualify you for a VA loan. A lender will need to review the entire credit report, but your scores are in an acceptable range. It will depend on the lender but that should get you in the door for a VA loan with most.

Every lender is different, which is why it's advisable to use a mortgage broker vs. a bank.. Brokers have access to numerous lenders (i have 21) with each lender offering a different lending program.. the more lenders the more lending programs and the more likely your loan scenario will be accepted. But in general, yes.. if your mid scores are over 620, then that will work for a lot of lenders.. William J. Generally speaking, a credit score of over 620 will get you a loan... But remember, credit score alone does not make for a loan approval...
