Credit counseling VS law firms?

I am looking to qualify for a mortgage, and want to boost my credit score. I currently have a 570-580. I have heard of consumer credit counseling, and also some law firms are claiming to have the ability to challenge the credit report. Is there a reputable firm out there? You don't necessarily need to hire a law firm to challenge creditors' reporting. This website provides information to help understand and improve your scores www.myficom.com. Consumer Credit Counseling is more for helping people who are struggling financially to understand their options and to escape the cycle of borrowing, not to improve credit ratings. And, while you may qualify for an FHA loan with a 570 score, the higher your score, the lower your interest rate. Call me if I can be of assistance, Gil Barteau 214.360.9991

There are many reputable firms, but for every good one, there's a 100 bad ones, so be sure to do your due diligence and check BBB's website and search for reviews for the company your looking to hire.. Most credit restoration companies have attorney's and will challenge credit report info.. so seeking out an attorney to do your restoration is probably not the most cost effective way.. your better off finding a company that only does credit repair.. I'm a Broker here in Scottsdale AZ and I only lend in Arizona. If you or someone you know is looking for financing options, feel free to contact me or pass along my information. William J.
