Most experienced mortgage officers handle lots of VA loans, just ask how many they have handled in the past couple months. I usually have 1-2 every month, others in the office handle more, others rarely. Unless your situation is very unusualy a VA specialist really isn't necessary, virtually mortgage companies handle lots of VA loans every month. Typically, most mortgage brokers in your area would be able to help you.. I would suggest you contact a Local Broker.. and not the big box bank on the corner, nor would I recommend you use an internet bank or nationwide lender.. they usually are not familiar with local customs and intricacies that a local lender would have no problem with.
