no money down with a VA loan correct?

What about closing costs? I know the seller is to pay for termite inspection but what about overall inspection? by keripatton507 from Purcell, Oklahoma. Jul 23rd 2015 Reply

If you decide to have a home inspection that is on you but it can be added to the closing cost and be paid at closing. An appraisal is on you and it due up front. The appraisers expect to be paid before the appraisal is ordered. VA appraisal is $425. Call me if you have any questions.

When purchasing the home you need to look at your finance situation. If you are lacking funds you might want to negotiate the seller to pay for closing costs. VA allows the seller to pay up to 4% of the sales price. Remember when you make a purchase you need to calculate closing costs, escrows and 1 yrs home owners insurance. Also depending on the loan size the 4% might not be enough to cover all these items.Message me if you need more info.Good luck!
