Good Morning. Any creditor would most likely take payments from any source, so yes, I'm sure your lender would take your payments.
You would have to have someone knowledgeable in reading Mortgage's and the note provided at closing to see the Assumption clause and what it takes to assume a loan, I would seek out a real estate attorney, friend of a friend as I takes 5 minutes tops and hate to see you charged for an hours worth of work.
Since your not yet married, it's a gray area, but more than likely a lender would allow you to continue to pay, however once your married, the law mandates that the lender must allow you to continue paying.
