Must I occupy my FHA home the entire time?

I am wondering because I may be out of the country for 9 months this year, will this be an issue? by Junipsl2299 from Miami, Florida. Jun 21st 2010 Reply

No shouldn't be a problem as long as you move in right away as that is your intent to have that as your primary residence. The 9 months could just be considered a vacation. Your vacation plans are of no concern to the lender as long as you keep making the payments on time. Just make sure the checks keep coming out of your account.
