Looking for a VA Loan with credit score 611-620

Im not sure what credit score i need to obtain this loan. Any advice would be helpful. by jwoods235880 from Romance, Arkansas. Jun 19th 2017 Reply

Typically you can go as low as 580. Would you like for me to have a Loan Officer give you a call?

That shouldn't be a problem.. if you are dealing with a local "big box" bank, then you probably wont get anywhere.. you need to contact a local mortgage professional... Typically, 580 or better is required for most lenders with a handful going down even lower.. but your big box banks usually want to see 660 or above.. I'm a preferred Lender with Arizona and California being my primary markets. If you or someone you know is looking for financing options, feel free to contact me or pass along my information. 480-287-5714 WilliamAcres.com NMLS# 226347 / RPM Mortgage NMLS 1541014 / AZMB0121893

Good morning! That credit score range is certainly in an acceptable zone; would like to chat further to define your overall profile. We are local lenders here in the state of Arkansas, with branches in Little Rock, Hot Springs, and Paragould. Let me know if you are interested in chatting. bfrench@topflitefinancial.com or 501-276-6786. Thanks, Brian

Score alone does not an approval make. Once you get below 620, you generally have problems.

The VA doesn't actually have a "minimum credit score requirement".. nor do they actually approve loans. You have to find a Lender / Mortgage Guy who has a strong background in working with Veterans and knows the ins/outs of how to get VA loans thru the system. Many "mortgage guys" do NOT know how to get these done. One of my personal friends is licensed in Arkansas AND he is certified with a couple organizations that cater to the needs of Veterans. He is also an INSTRUCTOR to help teach Realtors how to better understand VA loans and "working with Veterans". Reach out to Brandon Wooley at 573-356-1101 to see what I'm talking about.
